TELL US A LITTLE BIT MORE ABOUT YOU?

Wait, let me find my online dating profile bio…JK! Ex-jock Army brat who loves to explore, in Charlotte and around the world. A sucker for personality tests, I’m an ENTJ (Myers-Briggs), and a D/I (DISC profile). I moved to Charlotte right out of college, and have loved it since day one–a great balance of city and small town, accessible and full of promise. I think we made a good match 🙂

DURING YOUR TIME VOLUNTEERING FOR A COMMUNITY ACTIVITY OR PROJECT, WHAT IS YOUR MOST MEMORIAL MOMENT?

My most memorable moment was praying with the ladies at the Women in Transition program at the YWCA, after a night of crafts and fellowship. Every time I get an opportunity to serve there, I always leave with more than I brought.

IN YOUR OPINION, HOW DO YOU CONTRIBUTE TO THE COMMUNITY?

I contribute to the community by using my voice and systems focus to bridge the gap between what residents along the West Blvd Corridor want/need, and the organizations and institutions that can help execute the work. I have driven the organization development and execution plan as the secretary of the Westover Hills neighborhood, and have been instrumental in leading the area plan development efforts as a member of the West Blvd Neighborhood Coalition board. In addition, serve on the City’s Business Advisory Committee and Civil Service Board. I have recently joined the United Way Young Leaders Council as the Programming Committee co-chair, focused on creating engaging programming to grow the next generation of non-profit leaders in the Charlotte community.
