WHERE WERE YOU BORN?
HOW LONG HAVE YOU LIVED IN CHARLOTTE AREA?
A little over 1 year
TELL US A LITTLE BIT MORE ABOUT YOU?
I was born in Newton, NJ & raised in a town just outside of Washington D.C. named Ashburn, VA. When I was very young, I remember using my parents VHS Camera to make little home movies with my friends in our neighborhood. It got to the point where my parents finally purchased me my own toy camera for my next birthday and it was then that I found my passion for video. I eventually upgraded those videos to making paintball videos and other numerous sports videos for high schools in Loudoun County. I received my bachelor’s degree in Communications at East Carolina University in 2017. During my time at ECU, I was able to capture and share moments of many different sports as the head collegiate ECU Athletics Videographer, volunteer with the Local Greenville Boys & Girls Club as well as tour with the EDM Artist, Lost Kings, all over the world. It was quite challenging balancing school and work, but I loved it and knew my hard work would pay off for me and my career. I also interned with an incredible production team, TA Films, during the summers of 2015 & 2016. It was then that I had the opportunity to stay in Charlotte for the summers and fell in love with this city as a whole.
After I graduated, I spent 2 years in Ashburn, VA continuing to build my business, but my ultimate goal has always been to film in the NFL. Last year, I had the opportunity to shoot content for the Carolina Panther’s Running Back, Christian McCaffrey. I moved to Charlotte last summer and spent the majority of that summer capturing content for him during his offseason. I am so blessed to have been able to capture and continue to capture those moments, as well as call him a good friend of mine. I have also worked with many different artists such as Oliver Heldens, Jonas Blue, Gashi and many music festivals such as Moonrise and Breakaway Music Festival. These opportunities have allowed me to see the world and I am so grateful of every opportunity that I have earned.
When I am not working, I love playing golf, spending time with friends and family, working out and playing with my pup Ace. Family and community are my core values. I truly believe that you are who you surround yourself with. If you don’t have people constantly pushing you, caring for you and sharing the same values as well, then it is very hard to stay focused on your goals. I love everyone who is in my life and who knows me and am blessed to have them.
DURING YOUR TIME VOLUNTEERING FOR A COMMUNITY ACTIVITY OR PROJECT, WHAT IS YOUR MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT?
I have been honored to create videos for a non-profit organization called Sprout Therapeutic Riding and Education Center. This incredible facility allows people with various disabilities the opportunity of therapy through equestrian riding. Having never been around horses, I was a little nervous going into this project, however my fears were quickly put to rest. I immediately felt the camaraderie of their community when pulling onto the grounds. When entering the barn, you could feel the love that is generated by the staff and I was welcomed like I was one of the Sprout Family.
During this project, I interviewed some riders/students ranging from ages 7-60. Some riders are confined to a wheelchair, some have autism and other various disabilities. Being able to listen to their stories of what a horse allows them to achieve was fascinating. I remember one instance when a rider named Rachael told me “when I’m riding a horse, it makes me feel like I have my legs again, it makes me feel “normal”. I was at a loss for words, it was heartbreaking and inspiring all at the same time. Her words were so powerful, and I realized how influential this community is for all the people who are able to benefit from the therapies available at this center. It was truly a heartwarming moment in my life and one that I will never forget.
The completed video production is premiered each fall at the centers Gala Event. It’s a time for staff, volunteers, donors, riders, students and their families to gather together to share a year of memories, with laughter and tears. The videos have moved so many people in helping understand the vision of the community that Sprout offers. I’m very humbled to say that they have raised hundreds of thousands of dollars each year to for the facility, which helps the riders with their specific needs. I hope I am able to continue telling the incredible stories that Spout has to offer.
IN YOUR OPINION, HOW DO YOU CONTRIBUTE TO THE COMMUNITY? PLEASE BE AS DETAILED AS YOU CAN.
One of the most common ways to connect with a person is by connecting through stories. Some people feel alone in this world and think they are alone with their experiences when going through life. I have been there personally, especially when I was a kid, and the one way I found comfort and inspiration was through people’s stories in videos online. It inspired me so much that I make that a priority in every video I create.
I love telling people’s stories, showcasing moments that people would never have been able to see unless you were there. It allows the viewer to feel a part of the moment or connect to the person during personal hard ships that they might be experiencing. I love creating powerful, emotional pieces of content for people to enjoy and escape reality. It is one of the best parts of my job.
PLEASE LET US KNOW ANY AWARDS OR RECOGNITIONS YOU’VE RECEIVED IN YOUR PROFESSIONAL CAREER:

WHAT ARE YOUR HOBBIES OR INTEREST?
My job is definitely my biggest hobby and I am so lucky to be able to say that. I love what I do and don’t view it as work. Cinematography has been such a passion of mine since I was very young. When I’m not behind the camera, I enjoy playing golf, hiking, exercising, spending time with family, friends, and of course my best bud/pup Ace.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE QUOTE THAT YOU STAND BY?
“Make your mark on this world and don’t be afraid to color outside the lines” – Wrdsmth.
WHERE DO YOU SEE YOURSELF IN 5 YEARS? 10 YEARS?
I’d have to say my 5 year goal would be continuing to build my business. This year I’m fortunate to have the opportunity to work with the NFL as a Live Content Creator for the Carolina Panthers. I would love to continue to build my business through the NFL as well as weddings, concerts and various corporate/charity organizations.
In 10 years, I see myself still living in Charlotte, settling down and raising a family, while continuing to create content with emotion and meaning for the world to see for many years to come.
CAN YOUR SHARE ONE THING THAT IS ON YOUR BUCKET LIST?
I want to visit Iceland and see the northern lights.
WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME YOU USED YOUR PASSPORT?
November 2019 – I tour with a lot of Music Artists, creating videos and photos from their shows. I toured with Jonas Blue in November, it was a 3-day tour so Friday we were in Mexico, Saturday flew to Colombia, South America for a show then back to Orlando, Florida Sunday for the final show of the weekend.
WHAT IS A FUN FACT ABOUT YOURSELF THAT NO ONE KNOWS?
When my videos are on posted on social media, I get comments from people all over the world. It’s amazing how many people are into making videos, be it for pleasure or work. I continually get questions on how I did a certain effect, color grade, or how I even achieved the shot that they watched. I love being able to help teach people new creative ways of doing things with their own projects. Mentoring people from near and far is an awesome thing.
WHO IS YOUR HERO?
My dad, Tom. He is the most hard working, determined individual that I know. He worked for a successful retail chain for almost 30 years, working his way up from the bottom to upper management, which happened to have Charlotte as part of his territory. He is where my drive and work ethic comes from and has inspired me in many ways. Also my mom, Sandy. She is the most caring and loving individual. She’s shown me how to be selfless and put others before myself. My parents are my best friends, number one fans and role models. I am truly blessed and don’t know where I would be without them.
