After graduating from Jackson State University with a B.S. in Computer Engineering I moved to Bentonville, Arkansas to start my career in Project Management with Walmart. While in Arkansas I obtained my MBA and developed a love for running. I moved to Charlotte in August 2015 and shortly after married my best friend, Carlton Mangum in October 2015. Since being in Charlotte, I have had the pleasure of living a full life that afforded the opportunity to pursue all of my passions including running my first marathon, serving with various nonprofits, and serving my local church.
DURING YOUR TIME VOLUNTEERING FOR A COMMUNITY ACTIVITY OR PROJECT, WHAT IS YOUR MOST MEMORIAL MOMENT?
My most memorable moment when volunteering is when I get to connect directly to the recipient the service is intended for.
IN YOUR OPINION, HOW DO YOU CONTRIBUTE TO THE COMMUNITY?
Serving my community is like breathing; it comes natural to me and is essential to the quality of my life. I serve as the Executive Director for Flo Charlotte, a nonprofit organization that provides feminine hygiene supplies to women and teens that may not have access to them otherwise. I am on the Community Service committee with Urban League of Central Carolina s Young Professionals. I also contribute by mentoring local high school girls as a small group leader.

WHERE DO YOU SEE YOURSELF IN 5 YEARS?
In 5 years I see myself having strong ties with local nonprofits to have a greater impact on the women and teens in need of Flo Charlotte supplies. Professionally, I see myself working in IT as a Program Manager.

October 2016 to celebrate 1 year wedding Anniversary in Playa Mujeres, Mexico.
WHAT IS A FUN FACT ABOUT YOURSELF THAT NO ONE KNOWS?
I’ve always wanted to wow random crowds with my singing and piano playing. I can’t sing or play piano.
WHO IS YOUR HERO?
My hero is my 26 year old brother Rickey Harvey Jr. He will leave the world a much better place than he found it. He preaches across the country and promotes spirituality, scholarship, professionalism, and community. Rickey is a 2017 graduate of Colgate Rochester Crozer Divinity School with a Masters of Divinity. He serves his local church as an Associate Minister and was recently ordained as Reverend. He is a man on the move and we should all watch closely at rickeyharveyjr.com.
