TELL US A LITTLE BIT MORE ABOUT YOU?
I moved to Charlotte after graduating from Clemson University with a degree in Financial Management. I work in the Corporate Audit Department at Bank of America, as a Senior Auditor. I am also an active member of Guys with Ties, which is a local 501c3 “for purpose” organization that plans and runs events to raise both money and awareness for Charlotte-area charities.
DURING YOUR TIME VOLUNTEERING FOR A COMMUNITY ACTIVITY OR PROJECT, WHAT IS YOUR MOST MEMORIAL MOMENT?
Volunteering at the Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina – they are a regional distribution warehouse that supplies food and grocery items to charitable agencies that assist people in need. The first time that I volunteered at their Uptown location with my department at Bank of America, I was just blown away at the size and scope of their operation. This volunteer event was instrumental in me looking for other volunteer opportunities and ultimately joining a 501c3, such as Guys with Ties.
IN YOUR OPINION, HOW DO YOU CONTRIBUTE TO THE COMMUNITY?
As an active member of Guys with Ties, I have participated in and/or coordinated at least 6-8 fundraising events within the community in the last two years. Besides raising money and awareness for all these local causes/charities, I’ve helped by connecting Charlotte’s ever growing populous of young professionals to people and/or organizations that make Charlotte a better place to live.

WHERE DO YOU SEE YOURSELF IN 5 YEARS?
This is always a tough question to answer because you never know what kind of opportunities are going to present themselves to you in the near or distant future. In five years, I can see myself continuing in my career within the financial industry or going back to school for an MBA, while remaining active as a volunteer in the community. I hope to continue to grow as an individual and make a lasting impact on whatever it is that I am involved in.
