Company: Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar
Position: Operating Partner
San Antonio, Texas
I moved to Rochester, NY in the 3rd grade. I developed a passion for cooking from my father, which ultimately lead me to attending Johnson & Wales in Charlotte, North Carolina. I moved down here in 2005 and have been working uptown ever since. I graduated College in 2009 and have been with Fleming’s for the past 8 years. I was the second youngest to make Operating Partner (missing the first by a few months!). I am a big Steelers fan, also something I got from my father.
In College, I volunteered for a couple years at an Adult home for the mentally handicapped off Cedar St. I would go in on my days off after class and cook them dinner and watch movies with them and play games for a few hours. We used to have a blast. I remember one time I made some fish and rice for everyone and one of the ladies there told me, “We love when you’re here Tom, but this is terrible!” In her defense, she was not wrong. That one will always stick with me.
Fleming’s is a platform where I can contribute to many charities and help the community. I am able to donate silent auction items like gift certificates, wine dinners, night out packages, and those help those charities to raise money at their events. We also partner with the Harvest Food Donation to give food each week to local churches and charities.
I play a lot of bad golf. I am really good at getting my clubs out of the car and stocking the cooler with beer. Everything after that is just bonus. I am a big sports fan and follow the Steelers religiously and am also a Spurs fan from growing up in San Antonio. I like to make a Vegas trip at least once a year.
In the Top 40 under 40! Hahaha I would like to work with Fleming’s for another 7 or 8 years and then make a move where I can spend more time traveling and spending time with family and friends.
Star Wars... Although I do say that I am going to go see pretty much every movie that comes out. Sometimes the schedule just does not work that way, but at least Star Wars was awesome.
Here Come the Mummies at the Neighborhood Theatre. Before you laugh, check them out! Then you will definitely laugh. They were really great though.
