TELL US A LITTLE BIT MORE ABOUT YOU?

I was born in Puerto Rico and moved to FL a few months before starting Kindergarten. My parents worked hard to give me everything I ever needed to be successful in school and in extracurricular activities. Their drive and determination was instilled in me at a young age and is where my motivation and ambition comes from today.

After growing up in paradise (Gulf Coast of FL) I went on to study Finance at the University of Central Florida before starting my Sales Career. Shortly after starting my career, I realized I wasn’t done with school and was given an opportunity to earn an Executive MBA from Rollins College. My passion for sales and teaching comes from my past life as a Karate instructor where I learned how much joy there is helping others achieve their goals. Since then I have worked to develop my skills as a sales professional and leader which has led me here to Charlotte where I get to exercise all my passions at a leading innovator in the premium snack food industry.

DURING YOUR TIME VOLUNTEERING FOR A COMMUNITY ACTIVITY OR PROJECT, WHAT IS YOUR MOST MEMORIAL MOMENT?

Moment: Helping a family of four find their way back to their rooms at Give Kids the World. One of the kids was terminally ill and after an exhausting day at Disney World was in noticeable pain. Still all he could talk about was his little sister and how much fun she had had that day. His parents later told me that he feels awful that she sacrifices so much so that their parents can tend to him and his health. This little man taught me more in that moment than I ever could have imagined.

IN YOUR OPINION, HOW DO YOU CONTRIBUTE TO THE COMMUNITY?

I am obsessed with helping others find opportunities to better themselves. I wouldn’t be where I am if it weren’t for the opportunities I’ve had. Some would say that I am very lucky but I believe that luck is simply where opportunity meets preparation. Through the work that I do at work and in my personal life, I strive to build others up so that they are prepared for the opportunities that lie ahead.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE QUOTE THAT YOU STAND BY?

“The illiterate of the 21st century will not be those who cannot read and write, but those who cannot learn, unlearn, and relearn.” -Alvin Toffler

Change is imminent. I focus on adaptability as being a key factor in how situations will work out for me and my goals.

WHERE DO YOU SEE YOURSELF IN 5 YEARS?

In 5 years I see myself in a Director Level position leading young hungry individuals to better meet the needs of our customer & consumers. I also see myself playing a larger role in Charlotte’s young professional community by helping new residents get acclimated and involved with all of the great charitable organizations in the Queen City. I also envision myself back in school just having started working towards a DBA.
