I am a huge ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease) Advocate in the Charlotte area. When my father was diagnosed in September of 2011 my world was turned upside down. I joined the planning committee for the Walk to Defeat ALS in Charlotte in 2012 and within a year I was the Chair of the Committee. I strive to be encouragement for the community that there is hope and there are people trying every day to raise money and awareness to find a cure.
